Alan Lincoln Freeman

Alan Lincoln Freeman, CLU, age 77, died July 25 at home in Savannah, GA, under the care of Gentiva Hospice, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, where he worked as an insurance broker before moving to Savannah. He received a BA from Penn State University. A gifted athlete and gardener, he was a long-time member of the Wilmington Island Golf Club.

Surviving are his wife Jessie B. Freeman; his daughter Alison F. Baxter and son-in-law John and granddaughters Christa, Abigail and Madeline, of Richmond, VA; his son Frederick W. Freeman and daughter-in-law Lidia of San Jose, CA; brothers Benjamin “Nick” Freeman of Cherry Hill, NJ and James M. Freeman of Ocean City, MD; pre-deceased by sister Arline F. Farley; and step-children Kenneth E. Neal of Westminster, SC, David A. Neal of Fair Play, SC, Steven A. Neal of Savannah, and Christopher M. Lowery of Philadelphia, PA and three grandsons and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service and reception will be held Wednesday, July 29 at 11 AM at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made in his name to Gentiva Hospice, 5105 Paulsen St., Ste. 225D, Savannah, GA 31405 and Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, 54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, GA 31411.
